Thierry. Ola Christoffersson December 16th, 2007, 04:30 PM I know that portabrace is working on a raincover for the ex1, if that helps you. Vaughan Wood December 16th, 2007, 07:07 PM After doing a wedding in slight drizzle on Saturday, (left my EX at home), I think the first person who makes a clip on plastic cover for the exposed play/reverse buttons on the top of the camera will make a killing!! What were the designers thinking? I wonder if they are sealed at all, as they are very vunerable to the slightest bit of drizzle when you're outside. Vaughan Phil Bloom December 16th, 2007, 10:59 PM the petrol cover fits really really well. Used it in heavy rain and the camera stayed dry. I didn't though! Michael Bender December 17th, 2007, 11:42 PM Portabrace has a protector case/cover for the EX1 and it looks like it includes a rain shield with clear plastic access to various controls on the camera: http://www.portabrace.com/productA-CBA-EX1 I sent a note to Ken @ Portabrace asking if they have any type of "carry on" case for the EX1, I'll post his reply here. mike Paul Cronin December 19th, 2007, 02:14 PM Hi Phil, Is the rain cover you are using the Petrol PRC-S-HDV? My camera is shipping tomorrow so I want to make sure I order the proper cover since the first day with the camera I will be on the water shooting. Also thanks for all the great feedback and information on the EX1. Phil Bloom December 19th, 2007, 03:09 PM Hi Paul I haven't a clue on the model number of the raincover. all I know is I bought it a year ago for my z1 and it fits just fine on the ex1 Paul Cronin December 19th, 2007, 03:24 PM Thanks Phil Brent Ethington January 15th, 2008, 10:10 PM (know this is an old thread, but...) the KATA CRC-15 works well (the CRC-14 is a bit small/snug) Ashley Briggs March 13th, 2008, 03:34 AM The Kata crc15 works just fine. Lots of space for hand movements. I emailed petrol and they are to have a specific cover for the EX1 out in May. |
