View Full Version : Consumer Reports Puts HD Camcorders To The Test Paulo Teixeira December 14th, 2007, 06:12 PM http://kdka.com/consumer/HD.Camcorders.Consumer.2.611149.html Bill Koehler December 15th, 2007, 08:54 PM Having an online subscription with ConsumerReports I checked the above article against ConsumerReports. Reality: The Panasonic Model HDC-SD-1 was not even mentioned. Link: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/electronics-computers/audio-video/video/camcorders/reports/ratings/ratings/index.htm Note: Subscription needed. The cameras they do pick out are: MinDV: Canon ZR800, Panasonic PV-GS80, Sony DCR-HC28 DVD: Canon DC230, Hitachi DZ-GX5020A HDD: Panasonic SDR-H18 Combo HDD + DVD: Hitachi DZ-HS300A George Ellis January 3rd, 2008, 02:25 PM Bill, you may have found a bad link? I found the ratings and they rated: HDD: Sony HDR-SR5, SR7; JVC Everio GZ-HD3, HD7 DVD/Flash: Panasoic HDC-SX5 MiniDV: Canon HV10, HV20; Sony HDR-HC7 Flash: Pansonic HDC-SD1; Sony HDR-CX7; Sanyo VPC-HD2 DVD: Panasonic HDC-DX1; Canon HR10; Sony HDR-UX7 Steve Nunez January 3rd, 2008, 03:22 PM HG10 & Xacti HD1000 weren't present Heath McKnight January 5th, 2008, 01:11 AM I have a subscription to both, which issue of the magazine is it, or was it only online? heath Jon Fairhurst January 5th, 2008, 02:11 AM Any pre-CES announcements about new mid-level camcorders? There's still quite a gap between the top consumer models and the prosumer cams. I'd like to see something akin to the old GS400 - including zebras, focus and zoom rings, etc. Bill Koehler January 5th, 2008, 06:58 PM Hi George, Sorry, my bad. What I listed was for the Standard Definition Camcorders. What you listed was for the High Definition Camcorders. They are both there. Steve Nunez January 5th, 2008, 11:01 PM Info has leaked along with some photos of some new cams Canon will have out soon- check out the Video Industry News thread. |
