Is there any way to record still pictures from a pc to my camcorder via firewire? I would like to do it using a slideshow, but if that won't work I can just open each picture by hand.

Thank you,
Tony

Tony,
You'll need to convert the stills to a video track and then export to the camera. The camera only records digital video.

Tony,
You can put the pictures on a video track, add some trasitions and print to video.

What exactly is a video track? Would I be able to do that in adobe premier?

Thank you,
Tony

Tony,
A video track is the way in which the image portion of a video is organized in editing software, such as Premiere. It's basically a timeline of images from left to right.

Ken, thank you for the help. When I put the still pictures in a timeline will the pictures lose quality?

Thank you,
Tony

It really depends on the size of the photos and the degree to which you need to manipulate them in the nle. The normal output resolution of (NTSC) video is 720x480, irrespective of the source material. The LA Final Cut Users Group has an article on preparing Photoshop files for use in FCP (http://www.lafcpug.org/basic_ps.html). While your tools may be different, the basic principles presented are universal.
