I did an upgrade to Prospect Hd hoping to improve my HD quality from 1440 to 1920 resolution and from 8bit to 10bit. I allways capture all my footage with my canon hv20. I can tell some improvement in the video quality even that my is been HDV Taped already. My issue is that I was hoping to capture 10bit video from my HV20 thru my HDMI intensity card (not the pro version just intensity).

Everytime that I try to capture using HDlink 1920/10bit footage the video is flickering and showing seconds of black video.

I'm allowed to cature that 10 bit footage with the intensity using HDmi?
The only option is the HD/SDI cards?

Please I need some inputs

Thanks

The HV20 is only 8-bit. Also the 10-bit mode on the Intensity is flakely on some PCs, as the bandwidth of the single lane PCI-e card is not always available. Fortunately the 8-bit mode is fine for HV20, the CineForm codec will still internally use 10-bit precision.
