This day the winds were non-existent, so smooth flying wasn't incredibly difficult.

Yes, I sometimes do utilize a post stabilizer. But I try to avoid it by flying as smooth as possible.

Vibration isolation is the crux of RC heli video. I have a camera mount that does quite well at isolating vibrations. And the electric heli is by nature, quite a bit more smooth than a gas helicopter.

Excellent work, Derek. What a unique perspective you can get with that set up. I've seen some other RC Heli POV footage on Youtube, but that was more of a capture the flight rather than intentional shooting.

One question, when you fly and record, are you able to view/monitor the picture (by wireless) or do you simply fly your engine and record "blind" (you get what you get!)?
I'm asking this because I'm interesting in some special footage for a project I'm running.

7" screen pics up the image via 2.4ghz video downlink. The camera gimbal is operated by a seperate operator via remote.
