If some people could compile a list of export settings for the XH-A1 shooting HD 1080 24f, I would find it really helpful. Categories like:

DVD- I use Compressor DVD Best Quality 90 minutes with letterbox, then to DVD Studio.
YouTube Video-?
Video on a single page (High Quality streaming videos like the ones shared on this forum uploaded to other sites) - ?
Internet File(for download through an outlet such as mediafire)- ?
High Quality video for your computer- ?

Do you use square pixels for these? Dimensions? Resolutions? I think this list would be helpful to a lot of people.

Thanks
Mike

I shoot everything 24f, capture in the HDV1080P24 Easy Setup, edit in a 23.98 timeline and export as the standard QT reference. That becomes an H.264 clip. Then I use DVD Studio Pro to author the DVD, using the encoding in Studio Pro (which I tweaked just a bit but not much--the default encoding is pretty good). For web stuff, you can take the exported QT into Compressor and use one of the default settings for whatever you want to end up with. For Youtube, look at their specs.

In my experience you will get a much higher quality YouTube post if you ignore
the posted specs and simply post the highest quality mp4 that will upload (I think their size limit is 100mb).

You have to be within their limits and the right mpeg format. Naturally, you want to get as close to the 100mb limit without going over it. This usually means doing the compression several times to get the best one you can. I always try to get over 95 but sometimes give up before I get that close.
