Is it possible? Which software can do it?
I want to send some .m2t clips captured in a PC (Edius Pro) to another guy who is on a MAC with FCP 5.1.2 for editing. I have tried Edius and Procoder to
transcode to HDV QT .mov but this option is not available.Tried mpeg streamclip also. But no way.

Thanks.
Rajiv.

No response even after two days!
So may I decide there is no solution for this scenario in the PC world?
Is there a software in MAC world that I can convert and edit in FCP

Cineform NeoHDV will take .m2t files and convert to QT .mov files.

I think Mpeg Streamclip, which is freeware, can do that too. I use it on my Mac to convert m2t files (i believe) to quicktime files, so i don't know if there's a windows version of that.

Found a solution for this scenario. Mpeg Streamclip for MAC version can import .m2t files and convert it to .mov (hdv spec}. But on the other hand Mpeg Streamclip for Windows version is not capable of doing it.

Thanks all

Rajiv, does it re-encode the files? I think there would be a loss of quality doing it this way.

I think so. There is a slight loss to my eyes.
