Is there a way to shoot time lapses in 24p (23.98) on the Hvx200. It seems like you can't. My workflow is 23.98 DvcProHD. I usually have to set to 30p and video mode (which I dislike). All my time lapses look great on camera playback but are jittery in FCP (possibly due to the fact that it was shot 30p?). Maybe I need to reverse telecine??? Any comments would be much appreciated.

I don't know much about this, but came across this article at Apple. It may be helpful:

I am looking for some help on the camera side more than the post side but thank you. I just don't understand why you can't shoot a 24p time lapse.

You can't. It doesn't really make sense as to why, but in 24p modes time lapse is disabled. You have to be in 30p or 60p or 60i, and you have to be in video cam mode. Those are the rules.
So do your time lapse in 30p, then run cinema tools to conform your footage to 24fps, it should give you exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks Barry, Someone must have fell asleep at the wheel when trying to design that one.
