i have a focus problem with my extreme ,
i used the letus ex with my fx1 and nikon ai 50mm f1.8
It can't focus on far scene . some thing far than 20 feet can't get i focus right. I tried with both manual and Auto focus on my fx but can't fix the problem.
Nowi just can focus on people but can't get rack focus on the background
But when i put my old 35a, it work fine.

Just curious, what was the problem? How did you fix it?

Sounds like the focal flange distance was off; aka the lens mount was too far away from the ground glass plane. A quick readjustment is all that's needed.

Yes, if you have ever shot 35mm cameras with an extension tube, it makes perfect sense. We use to use extension tubes to turn standard lenses into macro close up lenses. The farther you moved the lense from the film plane, the closer focusing it was. In the process, you lose infinity focus.

Conversely, moving the lens to close results in loss of close focusing capability.
