i read that this cam is capable of slow motion but that it's low res, just how bad is it? does anyone have any raw slow motion footage they could share? or, if you dont have any, would you mind taking some? i'd appreciate it, thanks.

it really is quite useless unless used in a youtube video or something, it's ok for viewing your golf swing etc but not good enough for a video production

so the hvx is the only cam in this price range that does a nice slow mo??
..if that's so, i'm damn dissapointed in all the other companies!

Apparently Sony agrees with you. See the brand-new Sony EX1 for overcranking/undercranking, their answer to the HVX200.

yeah, i just read up on that camera(hdcam ex) today actually, i think it's going to give panasonic a little scare. ...too bad the retail price is out of my price range.

We bite the bullet with processing time and just use pixel motion interpolation in AE to get beautiful slows from our CF'ed V1 material (bumped up to 1920x1080 and 10bit). I'm sure adding CF to the mixture really makes the dif. The end results look very nice indeed.
Oh for a 150 fps HD cam...
