Hi.
In our PAL country, we use 25 fps interlaced in our DVD players.
In USA for an example, they use NTSC 29.970 fps.

But in those new Blu-ray & HD-DVD players, how many fps are they using?

Do they have any native fps they are using?

Are it possible to play a 50fps 1280x720p mpeg-2 stream in those players?

What I have understood about High Definition Video, it doesnt concern PAL or NTSC. HDV is a universal format which is not country restricted. I'm i right?

Im asking because im not restricted to camera fps...
I'm doing a photo montage, without any clips from camera.
So I have the opportunity to choose 50fps...

Blu-ray supports 50p at 1080 and 720, but HD DVD only supports 50p at 720.
HD is the same resolution regardless of which country/geographic area you're in; only the frame rate is different.
