Been using a HV20 for interviews, and I had assumed that the on-board mic would work well in those situations when I can't attach a lavalier mic to the subject.

It doesn't, as it picks up a lot more camera noise than other Canon cameras do.

I'm looking on ordering a cheap overnight mic for some run and gun interviews I'm doing tomorrow. The ATR-55 looks like an okay choice.

Anyone have any experience setting it up on the HV20, and any tips on that?
