Hi,

I have my own small production company and I'm trying to find a solution for a project I'm working on. We will be shooting the interior of a house with a glidecam and I want to have the director able to view the footage through a portable DVD player in a different room. We are shooting with a Canon XL2, so I was wondering if a company makes a device that would plug in the video output on the Canon and another device that would plug into the video input on the DVD player. This would allow us to be wireless without have to run cables into another room?

Thanks for any advice/input you may provide!

You can get 2.4 ghz or 900 mhz transmitters and receivers fairly cheap. We use the 900 mhz transmitters on our helicopters, and downlink to the cameraman wearing virtual reality goggles and controlling the camera actions.

Our uplink/downlink hardware is purchased through Range Video.
