We have uploaded a new "Ceremony Highlight" to our site. It's pretty short, but the entire ceremony was only 12 minutes in length. We've shot two weddings this year that were under 15 minutes long!

I stayed away from alot of B-Role on this highlight because I used it all on the full length ceremony (should have shot more!). We sell these as more of an online video to post on their myspace/blogs, so the shortness isn't too big an issue i think.

p.s. - this was the first venue that actually let us film squating in the front row and then moving once the bride is down the aisle. finally we got some good aisle footage which is usually impossible to get head on due to restrictions at the different places.

Zach - nice work! Short and sweet - perfect for sharing on-line. I might have reduced the number of transitions on the vows. Kudos for your positioning on the aisle shots. They came out great.

Pretty good job on the Ceremony Highlight. Now you said you have one for the reception also? How do you deliver your videos if you don't mind me asking? Art pointed a great point on your vows portion with to many dissolves there. Also on the entrance down the isle, your camera was tilted to the left. Your clients shouldn't notice it as the content is the key but just take note of that for the next jobs. Also great shot of the MOB or MOG during the unity candles, priceless. Take Care

Monday - We deliever the videos on DVD and it typically consist of: Pre-Ceremony Highlight (4-6 minutes), Full Ceremony, Ceremony Highlight (short form 3 minutes), Reception Highlight (8-15 minutes), Credits (2-4 minutes). If we shot a Bridal Portrait or Love Story they are also included on the DVD.

I agree completely with the dissolves within the vows. Unfortunately, I didn't shoot enough B-role and the pastor had messed up the vows by saying "do you angela take nathan to be your wife...." and everyone started laughing and she said "no my husband". This caused for a bit of a mess when editing with all the laughter so i had to cut between cams quickly to leave it out...if i was to do it again i would put crowd shots/b-role in place of the transitions. We left the mess up in the Full Ceremony version, but didn't feel it was necessary for a "romantic" type highlight.
