goofy sort of question -

If I hook 2 identical wireless systems to my camera, one to the left channel, the other to the right channel, what happens? If both are on the same frequency, would both receivers pick the signal? Do they interfere with each other?

I have an Audio Technica Pro 88W, and I'm thinking of getting another - I guess I would just put one unit on frequency A, the other on frequency B, yes?

Q: What happens?

A: They work

Q:Same channel?

A: Transmitters, same channel - chaos

Receivers, same channel: Yes, but seems like a waste of money

Q:Interfere?

A: Two transmitters, same channel - chaos.
Two receivers, same channel - no

Q: A + B?

A:Yes

Thanks! You know, sometimes I scare myself with my ability to work out the answers to obvious questions. Sometimes I just need a little confirmation.

I shoot with 2 identical Lectrosonics units on separate frequencies going into separate channels, no problems.

I pretty much always shot with 2 receivers on the camera but on 2 different freqs. never a problem, however I recently made the move to the AT 2 channel receiver so 1 receiver housing but 2 reciever circuits in the housing. so 2 different freqs, 2 transmitters, and it is great. Lighter load and I can use them both to 1 channel on the camera or 2 channels on the camera by throwing a switch on the receiver.
