Nice one
I liked it a lot.
The colors are nice and rich.
Congrats
BTW How did you protect yourself and the camera?
I'm planning to shoot some paintball in the spring and am scared a little about getting a hit in the camera...

Not much you can do ;)
Filter to protect the lens element, I have a KATA cover to help keep paint out (unfortunately didn't work too well and was expensive) so I plan to make my own neoprene cover.
And I've been playing for a long time, just a longsleeve t-shirt, paintball pants, some paintball gloves and pads, and ofcourse paintball mask.
To get the best image quality though the most you want to put in front of the lens is a filter... Plexiglass boxes/shields and other ideas aren't worth the effort.
It also depends where you stand. Sidelines, you're at less risk to get shot than if you're on the backline or behind the players.

I was thinking about some plexiglass, but I guess if you cover the camera well enough it should be good.

Nice work Joe !
Agree with Konrad about the richness of colors....those Hot pinks...Flaming oranges...Sizzling limes ....I like it !
Good song choice.
In fact if I occasionally closed my eyes for a few seconds while watching and in my mind pictured the Musicians tearing up that song I woulda thought I was watching a full blown music video.
Sometimes the paintballs seemed to have a cool strobe effect as they came streaming out of the guns.
If one of your objectives was to get the viewer to sense of bit of the rush a Paintballer must feel in battle it worked.
Curious, were those colors that vivid "out of the can" or did you have to adjust a lot in Post ?
Thanks for sharing your work Joe.

Not adjust a lot, but definitely adjust, most of my footage comes out at bad levels and low saturation, I have a couple filters I made that I just drop on all of the footage to make it look right/more correct.
thanks :)

I really enjoyed watching your video, thought it looked great! Love those shots where the poor guys are putting their hands up "ok! ok! I'm hit!" and they still get peppered! That poor guy taking a bunch of shots in the face, ouch!
Good work!
