Hi everyone,
I am having problem capturing NDF DV material through Final Cut Pro 6.0.1.
What I have is HDV which we downconvert through a Sony HDV deck and bring it into FCP as Anamorphic DV NTSC. This problem still happens when shooting MiniDV.
The material is shoot in Non-Drop Frame and it displays this way through the deck, i.e. 00:00:00:00. However, when I capture in FCP, with the selection of "Device Control Preset" set to Firewire NTSC NDF, what happens in the FCP Capture window is that is first shows up as NDF but after playing it for a few seconds it switches to Drop Frame and displays 00:00:00;00. The timecode on the deck still displays it correctly as NDF. But, there is something that is causing FCP to read this as DF.
If you have experienced this before or know how to fix this, please post your solution or suggestions!
Thank you!
