hi , ive started using this program this week. I like it better than vegas. Alot to learn and more in depth. I captured hdv from my canon xha1 and it captured to an .mpeg form. Vegas captured to .m2t , is this the same or is .m2t a better mpeg form than capturing from premire. I couldnt play .m2t on WMP but now i can play the new premiere mpeg files. any info is much appreciated ,

The mpegs captured by premiere, in my experience, are just m2ts by a different name.

m2t stands for mpeg 2 transport stream. All your software should be able to play m2ts, even if it doesn't recognize the file extension. But you may want a better media player, either Media Player Classic or VLC media player. WMP sucks. :D
