Using Sony Vegas:
Can we import EX1-clips (mp4-wrapped) directly from Vegas' XDCAM Explorer in native 1920x1080 resolution - without using the Clip Browser tool (which reduces clips to 1440x1080)?

There will be a new version of the Clip Browser included with the EX1 that supports 1920x1080 resolutions and 35Mbps footage in general.

Current versions support currently shipping XDCAM units. I don't think they even recognize SxS media right now.

Vegas will probably need a new edition from Sony before it works- though being Sony they might roll that out pretty quick.

For the EX1 you will need the new software from Sony that rewraps the EX1 files into MXF files. Currently this software only supports 1440x1080 50i and 60i footage recorded with the camera.

However once Sony update that software to cope with the other resolutions from the camera Vegas is already capable of reading the 1920x1080 MXF files that it will output.

So basically Vegas is ready to go with EX1 footage. We just need Sony to release updated conversion software.
