Here's a stupid question, it seems the poweracd-625 is the perfect battery for my GL1, in addition to the BP945 I already have. The only question is the charger. Can I use my current Canon BP945 charger to charge the poweracd-625, if they're both rated at the same voltage. Or are the chargers unique some way. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom
I am in Pensacola also. And I use a gl2 to shoot events.

Lets talk about setups maybe we can help each other learn about this cool cam.

I really like the TV mode for shooting in low light situations.

My batteries are not cannon batteries but it says for use with cannon bp-945 on the battery.

Ron,

Hey! My wife and I use the GL1 (actually she uses it, and loves it), and we're buying a GL2. We're shooting a wedding soon, and it's a low light event. I keep reading the GL1 and GL2 aren't the best at capturing low light events. What kind of stuff do you shoot?

So why do you like the TV mode?

Tom my wife and I shoot events, sports and weddings. I have shot a few commercials I did one cable talk show about alternative medicines. And I am going to shoot a beer commercial this year.

Two years ago I helped with a feature length video it went straight to video. It is at Hollywood video now as a new release. I like to do a lot of different stuff I started out doing training videos.

About TV mode as you probably know when you shoot events things tend to happen fast sometimes when you point your cam in one direction you have one lighting situation then turn around and you have a back light situation. Well in TV mode you can roll a dial and change how much light comes in the lense and the cam adjust everything else to match. It makes it easy to adjust quickly to compensate for the different lighting situations.
