Apparently a DeFocus filter was released with FCP 6.0.1...
I can't seem to find it anywhere? Any ideas?

View Full Version : DeFocus Filter in FCP 6.0.1? Chris Hocking October 31st, 2007, 01:44 AM Apparently a DeFocus filter was released with FCP 6.0.1... I can't seem to find it anywhere? Any ideas? Chris! Chris Hocking November 3rd, 2007, 10:19 PM I'm presuming no one has actually found it? Robert Lane November 4th, 2007, 11:02 AM Have you tried actually looking at your filter menus? Here's a huge list of blur types including "DeFocus". Chris Hocking November 4th, 2007, 06:50 PM Thanks Robert! Doesn't help though... On my Mac it's not there. Which has made me think - maybe the DeFocus filter (and possibly others) are only available on Intel Mac's or one's with good video cards? The Mac in question is only an old eMac... Robert Lane November 5th, 2007, 10:12 AM Didn't think of that possibility... Yes, you're right; many of the filters and effects are the "FXPlug" type which are GPU accelerated and require certain hardware requirements found only on the later G5 models, Nvidia/ATI cards and the newer Intel-Macs. So, you're long overdue for an upgrade! |
