Is it possible to work directly with Panasonic MFX files in Vegas 8? I had thought it was, but it appears that this might not be exactly correct. Can anyone enlighten me?
All info appreciated,

Marks, I do not believe Sony Vegas can work with these files directly but there is a fix. You can use Cineform to import your Panasonic files and have them converted (in real-time) to their intermediate .avi file. The downside is that cineform costs, the upside is that you are getting a very good quality intermediatary to work with that has many benefits including better chroma keying and color correcting functionality.

Mark, Raylight (http://www.dvfilm.com/raylight/) (from DV Film) is the product to look at using for MXF files in Vegas.

Thanks to you both.
I just downloaded the Raylight trial/demo. Looks like that will be the way for me.
Thanks again.
