Here's a side by side test clip from the helicam. I made an effort to jerk the heli around a little bit, to show the effects in post a bit more.
Thought some might find it interesting.

Derek, downloaded the -wmv and WOW - I'm impressed!
Seem like a very good tool for stabilization of footage.
My main concern with this tool is that you need another software package to run it (Virtual Dub). Which mean that you have to do a lot of export/import with your footage for stabilization before you can start editing in your NLE.
The good thing about this tool is that it is free and for those with limited budgets it could be wise to try out.

I use a script that was posted on the Sony Vegas forum some time ago. It takes all the selected clips on the timeline, exports them one at a time to Vegas, deshakes them, then returns them to the Vegas timeline. It works incredibly well.
You got me really interested in the helicam though. What the heck is that?

It's a six foot, electric helicopter with an HDV camera gimbal.

Derek,
I was totally impressed with you footage.
I have tried three times now to download virtualdub and have been unsuccessful. Is there something I am missing??
Instructions perhaps??
