I have a reel with both 4/3 and 16/9 content. Which rez should I use? 480*270 or 320*240? What are the pitfalls?

I want the finished playback window to be widescreen.

Brian,

If you want to have the playback window look widescreen, I think you answered your own question there and would not go with 320 x 240.

I can only think of 2 (perhaps) minor drawbacks to 16:9:

a) The widescreen dimensions you stated will require a higher bitrate for the same quality video since its a higher resolution. This will require a faster internet connection for streaming or will result in more buffering than the smaller 4:3.

b) The widescreen video may not fit in a lot of common blog layouts (not sure where you're putting this video).

Hope that helps.
