I'm working on a project with the A1 - shooting in 60i (NTSC) here in the US. I need to send the footage to Denmark where they use 50i (PAL). I know I can upgrade my camera to shoot PAL, which I might do, but I need to know if I can send him test footage shot in 60i and have him be able to playback or capture from his camera.
Anyone know the answer to this? Thanks...

Hi Philip,
As long as your friend's camera has the both PAL/NTSC capabilities then there is no problem, otherwise the answer is NO.

because you are shooting in 60i and not 24f, I'm sure he might be able to find a Sony Z1 that can play your footage.

A PAL canon A1 will not play NTSC material. Most if not all Sony camcorders will play PAL and NTSC material (but only record in their format of choice).
