Steven Davis October 24th, 2007, 08:34 AM Nice trailer, I'm not sure if the video camera was level or not.........................wait.....................wait................. that was a joke.
Welcome to the board.
Terry Taravella October 24th, 2007, 11:14 AM Hello Don my friend! You already know I"m a big fan of yours. See you soon!!
Don Bazley October 24th, 2007, 02:01 PM From one Don to another... welcome to DVInfo.
At first I was going to comment on how I love the color in the pics at the top of your site. Then I watched the trailer and I gotta say, I loved the color there also. What cam(s) are you using Don? I'll guess... Canon HD (?). What do you edit with? I'm shooting with Sony PD/VX but I expect I'll be looking to make a move to new cams about this time next year (maybe).
I've been doing weddings part-time for years (while working in non-wedding production and teaching production) but I just finished my first season with my new company that is doing mostly weddings. So far so good on my end but I still feel I have a long way to go. I hope/expect that I'll always feel that way. :)
Peter Chung October 24th, 2007, 02:09 PM Welcome, Don! Good to see you here!

Mark Von Lanken October 24th, 2007, 04:47 PM Hi Don,
Welcome to DVInfo. It's great to see you over hear. Trisha and I look forward to seeing you at 4EVER's Video 08!
Don Pham October 24th, 2007, 06:37 PM hi mark, i'll be there! and this time i won't miss my flight and miss out on the dinner.
Don Bazley October 25th, 2007, 09:00 AM Wow, you get that kind of color out of the PD?! I'm guessing there's a lot of color correcting going on there(?). I wonder if I can get those kinds of colors via PP2 (Premier). I've been happy with the color correcting I've been doing lately but I haven't been able to get anything that rich in chroma. Is that coming from Edius?
Don Pham October 25th, 2007, 11:44 AM yes i color correct alot. i think every editing software should be able to do it. just need to spend some time playing with it. i'm don't know much about premier but walter chelliah uses it and his videos are great looking.
Simon Denny October 25th, 2007, 05:58 PM Hey Don,
I use the PD170 cam also and love it.
Can you tell me do you record in SD 4.3 or 16.9 in the cam?
If you use 16.9 from the cam how does this hold up on wide screen TV sets?
Do you see the vertical resoultion loss on wide screen?
Could you give me some insite on how you use your cam in these formatts please?
Love your work
Cheers
Simon
Don Pham October 25th, 2007, 06:24 PM thanks simon. i record in 4.3 and box it in post to give the 16.9 look. i just love the look and can not wait to upgrade my cams to hd.
