Hey Guys and Gals

I tried out a software last year that allowed me to turn stills into moving videos using adjustable and pre-programable pan and zoom. I forgot which one I tried out but it worked great. Anybody know the differents brands of software that allow you to do this? I'm getting ready to buy one.

Thanks

Don't know which software you tried out either. But this one is pretty good.

Josh

I realize now that it was Imaginate 2.0 by Canopus so I was wondering
if the other primary editing softwares (FCP, Adobe P, Ulead, Etc.) have similar functions and if not are there other softwares that do?

You mentioned the above and I thank you for that. Do you know of any others and if so what are the prices.

Thanks

Terry,
I use FCP so I can't speak for the other NLEs you mentioned. FCP will allow you to build a slide show and animate the images. It's not as automated as Photo to Movie but you can produce the same effects. It comes down to your end product. If you're just making slide shows, FCP and the other full blown NLEs may be overkill. You could also look at Final Cut Express as a compromise between a slide show program and a high-end NLE. FCE is a great program at a great price/performance/function ratio.

If you're using Vegas, both UltimateS and Excalibur will automate pan and scans

I'm pretty sure all NLE's have some variation of the "Ken Burns" pan and scan effect. But again, if that's all youre looking for, than a full blown NLE would be overkill.

Have you looked at StageTools? Their app is a stand alone, as well as a plug in.
