What is the best SD footage I can get from footage shot on HDV footage. My plan is for the video to be shown using a DVD player to SD television. Here's my workflow and settings.

My camera is set to shoot in HD 1080i 30f,..

FCP 6.0 is set to capture in 1080i, Capture Preset: HDV,.. Device Control: HDV Firewire Basic

I do my edits and add my titles then export to Quick Time file set at, Comression: H.264,. Key Frame: every 24 frames,. Compressor Quality: Best,. Export Size: Compressor Native 480x270 (though if i'm shooting 1080i why wouldn't I at least export 720x405?)

When the files is done I then import the file into DVD and burn a copy. Is this the best way to get SD footage for telelvision viewing from HD footage?
