This monitor works perfectly. It has a small scratch on the screen that is only surface level and does not affect the picture. Other than that, it's in great shape. This monitor is configured to accept V-mount IDX-style batteries.

Home depot, telescopic aluminum painters pole. Replace threaded plastic end insert with 4" microphone pole you can get from buying a desktop mic stand at Radio Shack or Circuit City. Assemble all yourself - then go out and buy a nice Audio Technica shock mount.

Total cost = $ Cheap $ (and you can always use the pole for painting by swaping insert)
