Scott Shama July 16th, 2009, 12:30 PM Not really sure on the market price.. just thought you would want to know that you were only $200 under brand new so you probably would have trouble moving it. There are more of these for sale here at once than I've ever seen... Not sure why..
Kevin Dorsey July 16th, 2009, 12:53 PM Price lowered to $545 + actual shipping charges.
Tony Nguyen July 16th, 2009, 06:59 PM Hi. What's the total weight with the A1 on there? Any particular reason why you're selling it? And what is the payment method? Thanks.
Dan Licht July 16th, 2009, 07:37 PM Dana - It would be had I ever actually rented it, but I haven't.
Mark Aardsma July 16th, 2009, 07:49 PM Email sent. -Mark
Kevin Dorsey July 16th, 2009, 09:01 PM Hi. What's the total weight with the A1 on there? Any particular reason why you're selling it? And what is the payment method? Thanks.
Total weight with the XHA1 is around 7.5 pounds. I used the Merlin for weddings and had no issues flying it for several minutes at a time.
I'm only selling the Merlin to fund some still camera gear. Which I am using more than video gear lately. There are no problems with the functionality of the Merlin.
I can take Paypal. Personal checks or money orders would have to clear before shipping. Or you can mail me gold coins. But those would have to be appraised by a certified pirate. :)

Jad Meouchy July 17th, 2009, 12:39 AM I might be interested, but how flexible is that price?
Thanh Nguyen July 17th, 2009, 04:40 AM hey Tony Merlin with A1 are good to fly if you have a strong hand. 550 is a good price for the Merlin if nothing wrong or missing. when you fly merlin with A1 use the stock small battery and don't add any wide adapter or anything to it and it should bee good to go. good luck
Greg Chisholm July 17th, 2009, 05:18 AM I think $225 off the retail price for the same thing brand new is pretty flexible.
pm offers only please!
Nick Hiltgen July 17th, 2009, 10:22 AM The price above includes the legs, above ground spreader AND feet?
Ethan Cooper July 17th, 2009, 10:27 AM Got the lens yesterday, everything is just as advertised.
Greg Chisholm July 17th, 2009, 11:50 AM the price includes the tripod legs, mid-level spreader and rubber feet with the spikes underneath.

Randy Panado July 19th, 2009, 04:41 PM I would assume it's due to the rise in popularity of steadicams in events and weddings. After they purchase it, they find it doesn't suit their business model/look and end up selling them.
Charles - If you're open to the idea, I'd be interested in trading my pilot's AA battery system in addition to adding cash for your pilots battery system + your charger and batteries. This will reduce the cost of your pilot to make it more attractive in selling and plus get your some extra cash. Let me know, thanks!
Jeff Emery July 19th, 2009, 07:44 PM I have a couple of pretty decent aluminum tripods that I'm getting rid of. Let me know if you're interested.

Tramm Hudson July 20th, 2009, 10:46 AM I've gone completely digital, so I'm selling my Canon XL1s with the stock 16x IS II lens, the onboard stereo shotgun mic, the MA100 dual XLR adapter and a form-fitting Portabrace carrying case. The camera hasn't been used in a while, but was recording fine when last used in 2008. Occasionally it would have trouble rewinding MiniDV tapes, so I always used an external playback deck.
