1. Zach, know anything about the process and need to get latest update to the camera. Heard it was 12 or 15, or something like that...

2. Really need to use paypal or some other way to be able to finance purchase for cash preservation reasons....And if paypal adds fees close to new purchase price, does not make much sense to buy used, and have to update firmware too..

Hi Chris - I've been in post-production for the past few months and mostly off the XDCAM boards, so the last time I checked the firmware update was 1.11. I'm sure a search here in this form will reveal the latest. It cost $100 or so then. At the version that my camera is at, the backfocus issue was resolved and I didn't buy the hard drive so I was fine with my 8G and 16G cards. I think there is a few week turn-around time at Sony.

As for paypal, I understand the power of the credit card. I did some research and found that the fees are $145 for the sale at my asking price. I'll split it with the buyer, but would prefer a check or a wire transfer (I'll pick up the wire transfer costs).

Thanks for the endorsement Scott. Much appreciated.

Best,
Zac

Sony ECM-NV1 Condenser Microphone, works well and looks nice. No marks on exterior and foam windscreen is included.

Uses 3 pin XLR and requires phantom power.

Link to description online:

This is OEM equipment for a Sony DSR-PD170 but will work with any camera having built in phantom power or an XLR adapter with phantom power.

Greetings all...

I am seeking a second XH-A1 as a backup and second camera for my business. I thought I had one, but then it never went through. Anyone looking to sell theirs please e-mail me at dfessak@yahoo.com.

Thanks!

I've checked them out on ebay. There are enough for sale up there for $1,800 - $2,000, but I'm not sure they're moving.

Nope, they're not getting that much. Look at the completed auctions. Aside from one that sold for the starting bid of $1500 (to a zero feedback eBay newbie - I believe that auction was an aberration) a 100% functional HD50 goes for $900 to $1100.

I shoot with an HD100, but I'm waiting until they hit $750 before I buy one. I mostly shoot direct into Adobe OnLocation, so it's just not a pressing need right now.

I have a beautiful Canon GL2, boxed with all original accessories.

Also included are the below accessories:

1. Canon WD-58 wide angle lens

2. 2 High Capacity Batteries (1 Canon - 1 Off Brand)

3. 58mm Tiffen C-POL

There is no meter on this camera to count hours used but it has around 40-50 hours on the heads. I have never experienced any dropped frames and the 20X image stabilized flourite lens is kick a**.

I ony want to sell as I have one DVX-100A already and want the ability to transfer accessories back and forth.

Shoot me an email and I can send photos if you are interested.

colinmpritchett at gmail dot com

Thanks!

$1200 plus shipping (1.5% for Paypal, 1% for Google)

Also if you have a Panasonic DVX-100A or DVX-100B I am open to a trade.

It only plays back HDV video shot from the HD100/200 cameras.

So this deck would not work with footage shot from a Canon XL-H1a?
That's a shame if so.

I'm selling my JVC HD100u with an IDX Endura V-mount battery kit.

The package has all of the original boxing and manuals and everything the two parts came with along with a UV filter that has been on the camera 24/7 and a nice Kata case and rain slicker. The entire package works flawlessly other than the HDV firewire chip is (believed to be) blown.

I don't want to deal with the firewire, and it is a good reason to upgrade.

- JVC GY-HD100u
- IDX Endura Battery X2
- IDX Endura V-mount Charger
- Kata HD100 case
- UV Filter
- HD100 Rain Slicker

$1800 + shipping.

Drum and fan hours on the camera?

Andrew Reyna
February 13th, 2009, 10:08 PM
168 drum hours.
548 fan hours.

The majority of the time it has been used has been in a controlled studio setting. The firewire blew because I decided to hot-swap.

Chris, I said they're "up there" for that much. Never said they were getting that much. Hell there are a few new ones up there for $2999.00 as well. I think they might be up there til my unborn child graduates college..

B&H has them used for @ $2,200. I doubt they're selling either.

I'm pretty open to offers. Kind of like a really late night at a bar, you know?

Tyge, that statement you quoted is a bit short sighted. I'm pasting a better description here:

The JVC BR-HD50E is a compact desktop 12V DC recorder player, offering both DV and HDV recording. It accepts both MiniDV and full-size DV cassettes and operates in HD and SD as a source deck for an NLE system, as a tape archiving recorder and with its HDMI port - As an HD presentation deck.

In HD mode it plays and records in both 50Hz and 60Hz, plus various different cross-conversion facilities are built-in, including output of 1080i. It is a truly flexible multi-format video machine and is therefore the perfect partner VTR for owners of the highly regarded GY-HD100 / 101 HDV camcorders from JVC.

Please note that this deck cannot play tapes recorded on HDV1080i camcorders such as the Sony HVR-Z1E / A1E / Canon XL-H1...

I am selling my almost new (purchased February 2007) Final Cut Studio 2 system, which includes:

Computer:
2.66 GHz Quad Xeon 64-bit Workstation
5x 1GB 667 DDR2 FB DIMM ECC (5GB Total Memory)
1x ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB
1x 250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s Main Sytem drive, 3x 500GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s drives (1.75 Terrabytes Total Disk Space)
16x SuperDrive DL
1x Apple Keyboard & Mighty Mouse (Never Used)

Software:
Final Cut Studio
Final Cut Studio 2 Upgrade
Mac OS X (Latest Version)
iLife '08

Speakers:
M-Audio Studiophile DX4 Monitors

Most items come in the original boxes. System is in near-mint condition and was only used for editing. VERY low miles.

The reason I am selling the system is due to the fact that I had originally purchased it because it was the only system at the time that would support HDV. Additionally, I do not need all of the extra features that come with Final Cut Studio (Compressor, Color, Soundtrack Pro, etc.)

I am looking to get into a PC based system.

I paid over $6,000 for this system, but I am willing to let it go for $4,250 (plus shipping).

There may be other items included that I forgot to mention, but I will throw them in at no additional cost. If so, I will list them later when I do a full inventory of the system.

System is sold "as is". Buyer pays shipping costs which will be determined at time of sale. Seller will pay shipping insurance costs.

Email bryan (at) kagproductions (dot) com or post a message here if you're interested.

Does the DCT cource include the Compositing series and the Audio guide?

Also, I have to ask: are these the original DVDs? Sorry, but one guy here offered Hollywood Camera Works, and when I wrote to him, he said it was a "backup" copy... :)
