i just upgraded my kvm switch to the 4 port version of the one i'm selling here. this one comes in excellent physical/working condition, and comes with all the original accessories/docs that came with it, including 2x kvm cable sets (each set is organized into a dual-link dvi cable, usb cable, and speaker and mic connectors. share a large monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers between a couple of PCs/macs with just a couple of quick keystrokes. works great. note there is a iogear model for standard dvi as well. this is the dual-link version that supports super-high monitor resolutions. i've been using this with a 30" lcd at 2560x1600, shared between a pc and a macbook pro.

info:
IOGEAR - GCS1782 - 2-Port Dual Link DVI KVMP Switch with 7.1 Audio and Cables (http://www.iogear.com/product/GCS1782/)

Hi --

Does anyone have a decent fluid head in good working condition that doesn't break the bank that can hold my JVC HD100 (plus matte box plus IDX battery pack)? If so, please drop me an email (giganova @ giganova.com) with pictures, if you can.

Thanks!

If you don't have the HD200 anymore, I don't see why you'd keep it around. It only plays back HDV video shot from the HD100/200 cameras. Put it up on eBay, or sell it here. There's still plenty of HD100/200 users out there. Not everyone uses a Firestore.

It is still good for recording onto HDV or mini-DV masters, so if you do that, I guess it still has a use.

Henry,
I may be interested in this unit. I am running a 30" monitor at 2560x1600 also and have thought of using a KVM myself. 3 questions?

1. Does it degrade the image quality at all? Guessing that since it is pure digital signal that it won't but wanted to check.

2.Does it support wireless mouse and keyboard? I have a USB combo.

3. Does it include a Dual-Link DVI cable? I am using the one that came with my monitor and I am 90% sure it is a special dual-link cable but not 100% certain.

Thanks

I got my Kessler Crane and 501 Head today and just wanted to say publicly what a pleasure it was dealing with Kevin! Both items arrived well packed and when opened they were like new. Got to admire a guy who keeps his gear in mint condition. So Kevin thanks again for a great deal and I look forward to getting the tripod. Many people shy away or outright refuse to sell to us folks north of the border in Canada,so thanks for your patience on that too.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the listing, I am looking to add an A1. I can give you $2,400 for the Camera and standard accessories. Unfortunately I have no use for the matte box or porta-brace bag. I will pay via PayPal and I can provide a pre-paid printable FedEx shipping label so you would have no shipping cost.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Mark

hey marty.

1. there is no degradation of the signal.

2. yes, there are shared usb 2.0 ports on the back of the unit, and your wireless setup should work fine.

3. yes, it comes with 2 dual-link cable sets (mic and speaker jacks run through the same cord housing -- helpful to keep things organized).

feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

Nobody interesting in this beauty?

I have a basically brand new Miller DS10 sysstem identical to this:

System: DS10 System (828) - Miller Camera Support (http://www.miller.com.au/product_details.html?camera_brand=&camera_model=&type=&system=1&application=&series=&id=79&back_url=%2Fproduct_center_results.html%3Fsystem%3D1)

I bought it last year but after I set it up in my studio I never used it. Business slowed down so I need to sell it. This is a newer DS10 with the adjustable counter balance switch.
It's comes just like new, except my cameraman lost the bag which is came with it. He used for one of my other tripod.
This combination around $1100 right now, I'm asking only $775
Let me know.

I'm not familiar with the HD100, so I don't know how much it weighs. That being said though, I have a Manfrotto 501HDV head for sale. It's virtually brand new (never been in the field) but I've realized that it isn't heavy duty enough to support my ever-growing redrock-equipped rig. Price is $169 new from B&H - I'd sell it for $135 within CONUS.

The 501HDV supports up to 13.2 lbs. Again, not sure what your HD100 weighs with the mattebox etc.

Drop me a line if you are interested. Take care!

February 8th, 2009, 01:22 AM
Thanks, Trevor, but I am looking for a fluid head that can take more weight, like Manfrotto 516 or something similar. My camcorder weight around 15 pounds,

Hi Stefan,

Did you check out this post

http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/private-classifieds/142890-miller-ds10-system.html

I think the DS-10 will hold your stock JVC. It's a little above your quoted price range but I think you're going to have to get really lucky to find something under $600 that will be good enough to support your camera. Are you looking for just the head or do you need sticks too?

Garrett

Stefan Immler
February 8th, 2009, 11:42 AM
Thanks, Garrett. The DS-10 looks great but is only rated at 10 lbs, while the Manfrotto 516 is rated higher (22 lb). I'm tempted to get the 516.

I already have very sturdy Gitzo sticks (Studex, series 3).
