I have been busy making my own 35mm adaptor pretty much based on the one from Wayne Kinney: Sgpro.

I have noticed that many adaptors are 100% sealed so that no dust can get inside. My issue being that when I remove the SLR lens I can see inside and dust can get in.

So what have you guys used or suggest I should put to cover the holes. Adding an extra bit of glass would I beleive make me loose light. Plastic but what type of plastic!

Any suggestions?

Try the glass of uv filters. actually i left mine open.
just made covers for the holes for stowage and when i travel. The spinning motion when the adapter is turned on will "shrug" off any debris, if any, on the GG.

I believe they are glass. But yes, just apply UV filters to either side of your GG contraption to prevent dust from entering. Although with spinning designs it is less of an issue.

Letus35a has a glass protecting front side of GG screen, however, I broken it trying to clean dust off ground glass one day, and never replaced it.

I agree that dust is more of a problem with vibration adapters, than with spinners, and my self built spinner doesn't have anything .
