I bought my V1P a few weeks ago, but for the moment I am not using it. The reason is that I am trying to biuld a production line for my documentaries.

I have searched a bit this great forum but couldn´t find really waht I am asking now.

Can a HC5 playback my hdv tapes recorded with the V1?

Is it possible to have 25P with it?

I am editing with Xpress Pro HD.

Instead of buying a U$1700 m15 (wich I really dislike), I wanted to buy a HC5 as b-roll camera and "deck" for my projects.

Yes, that question has been asked. I had a similar setup where I used my HC3 as a deck and a B-roll for my V1. I have since gone tapeless but I can report that a HC3 or a HC5 make a fine playback deck for a V1.
