Hey DVinfoers
I was wondering if I can attach an LCD Monitor and a VidLED (on camera light) to my XL2 - they are both shoe mountable - is there a way I can get an extra show mounts or something. If you have other ideas that would be great too - I find the LCD screen on the XL2 too small and I need the on camera light.
Thanking everyone in advance.

Of course the shoe on the XL2 is very small, but you could try a shoe extender, like one of these.

I have no idea how well they work, nor what the extra load/strain might mean to the life of your equipment.

Most elegant solution I can think of is the FU1000. That will get you an extra mount for a mere $800, as there's an extra one on top of the viewfinder. :)
Seriously though, there are a bunch of Dr. Seuss looking thingamajigs out there that will give you as many extra shoemonts as you need. Poke around the B&H Web site.

We use this, but B & H may not have them in stock:

Get the one that Jeff linked to. It's obviously much more flexible than the one I found, which I couldn't recommend anyway.
