David, I'm getting somewhat paranoid about trying new Prospect HD updates, as every time we've updated previously, when we open any project afterwards, we have to re-render any CF'ed material that was already finished!
This is very distressing, especially given the difficulties and workarounds for even getting stuff to render correctly under 32bit PP/Windows when working with full HD material.
Any suggestions? How can we stop that from happening?

That should never happen. I switch version daily as there is no reason for that. Also the management of your rendered files is a Premiere function, somehow Premiere is not finding you preview files, and it would be a cause for concern.
As for our upgrade, uninstall Prospect 2K, and installing the new version, Premiere should be unaware that anything has changed.

That sounds like it should never happen. I'm trying to do some major housecleaning, as things have gotten fragmented with too many projects, too many disks...
I'll be trying to update in a bit. Thanks, that made me do some needed cleanups.
