I have a wedding on Friday and the couple getting married said that a relation of the family got married in England about 6 months ago, and their videographer made the wedding party and parents of the family act out the lyrics to the BBC Perfect Day song were it will be played back with them miming to the song.

They have not got to see the DVD yet as the couple are still waiting on it themselves and I have already managed to get all of the lyrics for the song and the song itself but I wanted to ask if any of the other members on the forum have done this and maybe it is available to view on-line to give me some ideas.

I will have to take a portable CD player with me to play the song through and get them to sing at the same time but do you do it all at the same time at the reception or throughout the day, the bride at the house, the boys arriving at the chapel, the photo shoot etc any ideas or help would be great.

Funny, I had a long chat with him last week about getting him to film my own wedding next year. He's the only decent wedding cameraman I have seen (apart from me of course). It's so hard to find anyone up to our own standards to film our wedding.

Thanks for the link, enjoyed watching it, but i would hope you get the timing a bit more accurate to what they managed to get.

I understand this can be difficult on the day to do, but for this to work timing is the key, for them to mime to the music.

How do you intend to do it?

This is nothing like your style of work at all, just a bit of fun with the bridal party on the day and the more out of sync they sing to the song the more they will laugh about it.

I haven't seen any clips of yours on in a while don't keep them all to your self, I love watching your work.

Did you ever change your cameras yet to HD, or still using the VX2000's?

I'm curiuos how you organise the perfect day sequence. I mean do you match someone to a singers voice to start with on a list. Because I'm sure people aren't going to get it right first stab and then you have to keep replaying each bit and end up completely lost having missed some of the sequence.

Although that said I could see it being more powerful cutting from it to other sequences and then it makes things a bit easier.

Also out of interest how would this fit into the wedding dvd as whole?

hey Paul, I still have my vx2000 but I have been renting as needed. Most of my stuff is being shot on HDV with the z1 sony. I have also shot a bit with the DSR 450 which has a great image. I've been busy with a lot of non wedding work and I have been doing a ton of webstuff.
