Has anyone heard if by any chance it has a similar function the JVC200 line in that it can reverse the image for 35mm adaptors?
Looks like an amazing camera.

Mark Kenfield September 29th, 2007, 09:13 AM Sony are running an XDCAM EX road show down here in a week's time, I'll check with their techs then and get back to you Phil. Phil Bloom September 29th, 2007, 11:52 AM great thanks mark Mark Kenfield October 9th, 2007, 07:00 AM No image flip built into the camera Phil, though I reckon the Letus35 Extreme is looking like a pretty sensible companion for the EX - image flip built and only 1/2 spot of light loss. Exciting times. Phil Bloom October 9th, 2007, 07:40 AM Yes definately. I have one on order! Phil Bloom November 22nd, 2007, 02:21 PM Got my hands on the EX1 finally today. I truly believe this to be the perfect adaptor camera. The quality of the image out of it is nothing short of superb. It handles over and under cranking beautifully too. It is definitely better in low light than the HVX or Z1, a major bonus for us. The best thing though is the LCD screen, it is incredible detailed. The same resolution as my Marshall! You also have peaking, focus assist like the JVC HD200/250 and focus zoom like the Z1, but this can also be used whilst rolling unlike the Z1. Couple this with a Brevis and flip or Letus extreme and you have a simple, incredibly good 35mm adaptor solution. The lens thread is 77mm so you need a step up/ step down or if you have an extreme get a 77mm thread for it (Hien has been brilliant and has sent me one for it without asking for it, top guy!) I hope to be able to do some test shots with the extreme on Monday, work dependent. |
