so I'm working with premiere latest version on windowsXP. Something I can't figure out yet, but might be overlooking something. I have the monitor window up and whenever I try to preview something I have in my timeline the monitor window plays it back but in certain frames only. It's not a smooth playback...jumps from one frame to another.

While on my camcorder it's also playing back but very smoothly, exactly how it was recorded.

Any ideas?

That is because it also plays back through your firewire
port to your camera. If you disconnect or turn off the camera
it will play smooth! It's a one choice thing. Smooth on the
camera or smooth in Premiere.
