Hi,
Ive been around the block with this a few times and am still not sure where im going wrong.
Im Filming in 25p on My XH-A1 - capturing through Capture Magic SD
When I put the footage into FCP its reading it as field dominance Lower (even)
I initially though that i had just messed up when filming and recorded in 50i, however after reading a round i interoperated footage in After Effects which also tagged it as lower but it still looked interlaced. (I also checked my camera which is still set to 25p)
when i set field dominance off in after effects it looks perfect.
I'm guessing that my capture software has tagged the files as Lower instead of none??
When I put the footage in FCP and set field dominance to lower in the sequence settings it looks fine which would be great if i wasn't mixing it with footage from screen capture software which is progressive footage.. (the main reason for getting a 25p camera)
Is there any way to solve this problem? possibly a way to tag the footage as progressive as opposed to interlaced (lower)?
I have tried de-interlace plugin in FCP but it dosn't help at all
