I am on a job out of town and my IDX fuses are popping when I turn on the camera. The camera works fine with AC Power Supply however. I am going to attempt diagnosis (this AM before resuming shooting tonite) with a volt/ohm meter, but I dont have any documentation on the device.
Anyone had a similiar problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We've popped a few here and there, usually when a battery is completely full. There is a spare on the IDX battery receiver, which to me indicates that it must be a semi common thing. Although not recommended, if you ever get into a super pinch (like in the middle of shooting) and you don't have spares, you can stick something in place of the fuse, like tin foil or a paperclip to complete the circuit. But again, not recommended...

thanks Kit..I took the IDX pack off, cleaned connections (which weren't fouled) put back togather and it worked fine. After popping several fuses I got real concerned. I went and got 8 fuses to carry around, just in case.

they are 5amp/250volt fast blow fuse. I suggest you pop the lid on the fuse holder and take one with you. I got mine at Radio Shack...jon
