Luckily I left Vegas 7 on my computer... In Vegas 8 I´m not able to start the internal capture programme to capture the tape on my Canon XHA1. When clicking "Capture Video" and the choose HDV - nothing happens.

Doing exactly the same in Vegas 7.0 capture works fine.

Anyone who has got the same problem? Or an idea how to solve this?

Very funny.... the capture programm is there ... but very small in the background as you can see - between vegas explorer and the time line.

But I´m not able to drag it to another part of my three screens, neither can I just drag and drop other parts of Vegas to get access to the capture programm. It´s just there in the background...

Re-Install Vegas 8?

Found the error: The reason that you can see only a very tiny part of the capture programme is....what do you think?

The reason is: I kept a pref file from Vegas 7.0 in Vegas 8 where the layout of my windows is stored.

Don´t do it, otherwise you probably won´t be able to use the capture tool.
