Hi,

Sometime ago I bought a small metal hotshoe to mount a 7 inch monitor directly into the Xh-A1's hotshoe. I bought it for like 10$ plus more 10$ for shipping to Barcelona. I was looking for the same thing because I need another one and the least expensive I could find was this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/352085-REG/Noga_LPSLDSHOE14_LP_SLDSHOE_Slide_Shoe_Male.html

30$+35$ for a little piece of metal I once bought for 20$?

Does anyone know where can I find something similar?

cheers,

Rafa

for info if you use the term hot shoes, it usually means there are contact inside. the correct term for just plain metal stuff is cold shoes.

After looking around for a cold shoe for a month, i just made one with two small L-brackets bolted together , total cost $1.50.

the bottom L bracket was cut with a hack saw to fit the hot shoe bracket, and the LCD base bolted to the top L bracket. It works fine holding a 8" LCD on the camera.
