I am trying to capture from my HC1 (it is recognized by XP and Vegas), but it only captures using DV mode, not the HDV/SD mode. IS there a setting in the menu for the HC1 that I should have set? Thanks

Assuming you recorded in HDV, you should check settings in the Standard menu. VCR should be set to HDV. i.Link Conv should be set off. Hope that helps.
