If you're in New York, J&R is selling the 17" Sony Trinitron A240R CRT for $149 minus an additional $50 Sony rebate (http://www.jandr.com/JRProductPage.process?RestartFlow=t&Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1138&Product_Id=3652484).

The downside :-p it's an aperture grille monitor so you will get those two lines across the screen.

It's still a great picture and a reliable product, even with the lines, that I barely notice anymore.

If it doesn't say Trinitron, I don't buy it.
