I liked the old one better.... I liked "Now Hear This " better as well. Wayne Brissette September 2nd, 2007, 11:16 AM To reflect the de facto enlargement of its domain to include post-production? Actually, I'm not sure if this board is large enough to warrant it, but since the idea is to put audio into a section, I would recommend two groups in that section. One for On-Location sound and one for Post Production sound. But, that's just me. Jon Fairhurst September 2nd, 2007, 02:52 PM To divide it even further there is * On location sound * In studio recording and ADR * Music for video and film * Sound design: effects and foley * Mixing and mastering Some aspects, like music composition, are kind of a production unto themselves. Consider that when a film uses Beethoven's music, the composition was pre-pre-production. ;) But based on the balance of traffic on this site, one group for sound acquisition (mics, wireless, mixers and recorders), and another for all other aspects of sound would make sense. |
