Hi Everyone,
I've posted a high definition version of Sergio's (Elite Studios) film-out tests online in our video gallery (http://www.siliconimaging.com/DigitalCinema/gallery_footage.html).
You can also read some more about their process here: http://www.elitestudios.com.mx/siliconimaging/ (it's in Spanish, sorry).
Thanks,
Jason

WOW! The color is absolutely gorgeous (reminds me of Pans Labyrinth). Great work Sergio!

Sorry about the link being messed up . . . I'm not sure how that happened, as it was working on my local install . . . something must have linked wrong on the upload.
But yes, that looks nothing like something originated from a "video camera" to me . . . it's definitely got that "old" period-look to it, almost like hand-tinted photographs . . . something that on other cameras always screams "electronic" to me, but here seem so organic.
Good job Sergio! :)

Thanks for your comments.
Those shots were done with the first sensors, we are making tests with the last sensor Silicon gave us and the image quality is far superior than the one obtained in those shots. As soon as i have them ready I post them too.
I thought we went to far with the vintage look in the first shots, but is good to hear you like it.

Looks awesome, the 'vintage' look matches the subject matter very well, I think your grading choices are spot on personally.
Curious to know what sort of lenses you were using.

Ah, okay, that confirms a suspicion I had about one items in one of the shots that I only remember being an issue with the L1 series of sensors and was fixed with the L2's.
Old sensor/new sensor, it still looks good . . . looking forward to what you guys are cooking up right now :)
