I bought a rode shotgun mic and a wireless senheisser mic that fits on my camera. Both the shotgun mic and the wireless receiver are made to screw into the Advanced Accessory Shoe of my gl2.

How do you guys mount both of these to your camera at the same time?

Thanks,
Chris

With this (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/133276-REG/Bescor_VB50_VB_50_Universal_Shoe_Mount.html) or this (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/114982-REG/NRG_59111_59111_Accessory_Tri_Mount.html). Search on B&H for other shoe mounts.

I got this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/167170-REG/Lightwave_MMXL_MM_XL1_Mini_Mount.html

. .stuck into this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/73119-REG/Sennheiser_MZS6_MZS6_Microphone_Shock_Mount.html

. . which I had my local garage weld make a Whitworth stud to a LARGE washer and cut into a "square" to slide into this:
http://www.rycote.com/products/accessories/hotshoe/

However, had I seen or known of this:
http://www.rycote.com/products/softie/mount/multimount/

. . it would just have been THAT multimount with the slide! And the garage wouldn't have been called to Arms!

Yah gotta larf! Aint yah?!

Check the Sima Video Bracket SVB-1
http://www.audio-discounters.com/svb-1.html
And available from many other fine stores.

I use a mount like this http://droptodesign.com/test/camera_setup/

I for the life of me can't remember the manufacture, it works well, although I need to get a wing nut for the main bolt,it keeps losening.

Thats was actually the one I was looking for on B&H. It looks like your best bet.

I found the link for the thing I use. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/126229-REG/Cool_Lux_MD3000_MD_3000_Light_and_Sound.html The mount, or screw in the middle, is unscrewable, so you can move the mount 90 degress, to mount it sideways.

I like the setup, and thank you for posting pics, it really helps a newbie like me to actually see the setup.

I run a couple of these
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/97711-REG/Audio_Technica_AT8035_AT835B_Shotgun_Microphone.html

They're good mics, just long as crap though.

I will say the shock mount you see there is not the best. The blasted thing keeps coming loose and I will either have to add a lock washer or something or just get a different mount.

Those really are long mics! Thanks for the insight. I am just now starting to put together my own setup, and it reallly helps to learn from those more experienced. Thank you. By the way, I visited your site, and was VERY impressed. What a great way to introduce people to your service and the quality differentiation.
