How do you inport files from a dvd into liquid, I made a short film 2 years ago and cannot find the master tape all i have is a copy on dvd and i need to somehow get it from the dvd onto the timeline to re-edit some bits and then make it back into dvd
I have used DVD decripter to get the files back on to my hard drive but can't seem to get liquid to ingest it, any idea's, need help please easy for me to understand

As far as i can remember you can't import vob or the dvdfiles if you want directly into liquid, for some reason that feature disappeared between version 6 and 7(i think).
One possible workflow is Mpeg streamclip(freeware) and Apple Mpeg2 decoder and transcode the video into a format that Liquid accepts.

Ian go to all in clips and right click and choose "import" then "media clip". This will let you pull off your hard drive or off a DVD.

Thanks Paul and Christian
I managed to get it back in to liquid by using the mpeg streamclip which after downloading quicktime alternative and the converting vob files back to avi,
Just put on to the timeline and some sort of rendering is going on, i need to put some extre clips in but the inported avi file is just a long blue line, no picons is there anyway to see the picons again
Anyway thanks again at least its back on to my timeline

Ian,
Glad to help.
I always import into the clip folder so I get picons.
