Hi,
I own a JVC HD100 and was interested in buying your camera as a backup/2nd.
The Pros:
The codec seems very stable. Minimal Jaggies & very few compression artifacts. The image holds up well to sloppy camera work ;)
The Cons:
The focus seems unstable when zoomed up and the iris was not locked. I saw a lot of iris when you moved the camera towards the sky. Can you use manual focus/iris with this camera?
Also, the 1080i look reminds me of why I bought the HD100 over the Sony Z1U. The picture is good but has that sterile video look. Not very robust.
Does the camera have progressive emulation like 30f & 24f modes?
Anyway, thanks for the clips, I might buy this camera!

See this link for answers. Yes -- the FullHD can be converted to 720p60.

I have a PAL version, its a bit richer in colour than my HD110 with True color 3 scene file. Looking forward, I may have a play with scene files to try match the hd7 better to save work in post. However I like the TC3 look better than the native HD7.
I use Liquid 7.2 and my workflow is a doddle, even more so with the HD110 recording on an FS4 HD.
My projects are all 25P, and the HD7 recordings mix in well with the HD110 footage.
I use the HD7 as unmanned b-roll normally but occasionally have it manned. Hand held its not so good, the image stabilizer seems to let it down, but on sticks its great.

Scott Jaco,
Hi! I am glad you like the videos, I am happy with JVC GZHD7, have you gone through all three clips? Which you like most? Suggestion and feedback are welcome.
Thanks,
